I'm Bummed!!!!

John, Cedric, and I were going to listen to Barack Obama at D.U. this morning. When we arrived, the line wrapped around the University. Cedric was getting fussy and so we walked back to the car. After we got back to the car, John decided to walk to the light rail station. I fed Cedric some milk than I headed towards D.U. to go home.

Little did I know while I was doing this that John decided to go back to D.U. as he was walking by...kind of a quick moment type decision. John ended up on the Lacrosse field and heard Barack talk briefly to the crowd. He also saw Barack and Caroline Kennedy's limos go by before his brief speech. Barack then went inside Magness Arena to give his speech...the speech was pumped out through the speakers, so the people on the field could hear it.

Cedric and I really wanted to be apart of this historical event, but we missed out. Although I like Hillary and most likely will vote for her at the Caucus, I do like Barack and his inspirational speeches that he gives. The bottom line is I'm a Democrat, and I support all Democrats...that's why it would have been nice to hear Barack's speech today. So that's why I'm bummed!

Bill Clinton is at D.U. this evening, but it's too late for us...too bad he wasn't going to be giving a speech earlier in the day. I would hope that Hillary has told Bill to stop being so negative and attacking a fellow Democrat the way that he has been with Barack. Despite what you might think, we're all in this together to get a Democrat to win the Presidency to get monkey boy and his minions out of the White House. Now is not the time to turn on each other...plus it is making Hillary look bad. I would like to see a better side to the Clintons from now on...I know they are capable of giving their own inspirational speeches. So lets see it, Hillary and Bill!

Cedric says Mama!

On Saturday, January 19, 2008, Cedric turned 10 months old. He also said "mama" for the first time consistently...sometimes when he was jabbering I thought I heard him say mama, but I can't confirm this that's why I never mentioned it before. Now he says "mama" a lot more, but no where near as much as he says "dada"...soon enough.

I just have to say it feels so good hearing my, little baby say "mama" to me...I'm not sure if he knows that I'm mama, but I don't care I just love hearing it. The picture above was actually taken on the 19th...Happy 10 months Baby!!!!!

First Tooth

As of Sunday, January 13, 2008...Cedric's first tooth broke through. It's his front bottom tooth on his right side. He has been drooling for months and finally on this day he is no longer toothless. His nose has been running crazy lately and I'm not sure if it is from a cold or from teething or a little of both. He is growing like a weed...I still can't believe he will be out of the single digit months and move on to the double digits on Saturday. 10 months!!!! Where did the time go?

Six Years Together!

Today is Saturday, January 12, 2008. It was six years ago on a Saturday, January 12, 2002 that John and I first met. I went through his garage and knocked on his door...unbeknownst to me I was about to meet my future husband for the first time. Here is our first picture together that was taken 3 or 4 months after our first date at Garden of the Gods. Happy Sixth, Boo Boo...I love you!

Look how much we have changed! :)

Daily Kos Blog....Very Cute!

The Republican debates through a 9-year old's eyes (w/Poll)

Sun Jan 06, 2008 at 01:59:36 AM PST

I've avoided the debates until now because I saw them as little more than exercises in media manipulation. This time, I wanted to watch the Republican debate just to hear the other candidates respond to Ron Paul. Unfortunately, I had a scheduling conflict so I asked a kid to take notes for me. As the debate began, I drew a quick seating chart of the candidates to help the kid keep track of who said what and then ran off. BTW - this is not snark. This is a straight rendition from a 9 year old. The only changes I made were for spelling errors (except the names).

It must have been more difficult thant I thought to keep track of all the new names. That's the only reason I can think of to explain why this reporter devised their own naming strategy to keep track of the candidates. Aside from that, it seems they got all the high points.

Follow me below the fold for the 9-years old rendition of a fight between Sarge, Wrinkles, Bunny Ears, Oily, Beagle Eyes and Carrot Face...
