January 20-22, 2006--Adventure Club did its annual Interpretive Christmas. We get together and exchange a present that we were assigned to do. I was assigned to make a present for someone that wanted to explore Skull Island. I made a King Kong, the people, and the T-Rex out of clay. I also did a diarama with lots of sand, artificial trees, fake rock, and lots of creepy crawlies thrown in the mix. I didn't know who it was for, but I had a couple of guesses. One of my guesses was right---Gabriel asked for it!
I asked for a Traveling Monkey! Minka did mine, and I was so happy. She's an artist like me, so I knew she would do an excellent job. She wrote in the journal from the monkey's point of view. She had pictures, and she had the actual monkey to give to me at the end. It was great!
Boo Boo asked for a AC game, and Kevin did a great job. Boo Boo made a present of a new map of The United States. He knew it was for Shawn, and he was right.
As far as the rest of the weekend goes, we were in a large cabin in Manitou Springs. Boo Boo and I had a lot of fun playing games and enjoying the relaxation. I wish I wasn't feeling crummy! I was starting to have some stomach problems. There was lots of good treats and good times!
It was four years ago today that John and I first met. That was the date the starting it all and here we are four years later very much in love. Who would have thought that going to the Denver Dumb Friend's League looking at cute kitties, going to the movies and dinner, and finishing off the night with some Crazy Taxi would have us ending up here?! Yogi and Boo Boo forever! :x
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dream of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dream of
Dreams really do come true
Someday I wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemondrops
High above the chimney top
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dare to
Oh why oh why can't I
Well I see trees of green and red roses too
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Well I see skies of blue and
I see clouds of white
And the brightness of day
I like the dark
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky
are also on the faces of people passing by
I see friends shaking hands saying
How do you do
They're really saying I, I love you
I hear babies cry and I watch them grow
They'll learn much more then we'll know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
world...
Someday I wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemondrops
High above the chimney top
That's where you'll find me
Oh somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dare to
Why oh why can't I...By: Israel Kamakawiwo Ole'

We get it on most every night
when that moon is big and bright
its a supernatural delight
everybodys dancing in the moonlight
we get
everybody here is out of sight
they dont bark and they dont bite
they keep things loose they keep it tight
everybodys dancing in the moonlight
dancing in the moonlight
everybodys feeling warm and bright
its such a fine and natural sight
everybodys dancing in the moonlight
we like our fun and we never fight
you cant dance and stay uptight
its a supernatural delight
everybody was dancing in the moonlight
dancing in the moonlight
everybodys feeling warm and bright
its such a fine and natural sight
everybodys dancing in the moonlight
we get in on most every night
and when that moon is big and bright
its a supernatural delight
everybodys dancing in the moonlight
dancing in the moonlight
everybodys feeling warm and bright
its such a fine and natural sight
everybodys dancing in the moonlight
Momzy's surgery went well! She is resting and recovering from her traumatic ordeal. Sounds like it might take awhile, since her recovery could be a slow process. She had that blood storing up inside her skull for a month, so when it was drained it left some open space that her brain needs to fill back in. (Read John's blog for more details.) Poor Momzy! John and I wish her well, and we hope to be in New York for Thanksgiving. That would be nice, since John hasn't had a Thanksgiving dinner with his family for eleven years. It looks like right now the only thing that could hinder it would be if I was close to delivery or too far into my pregnancy. However, I'm not pregnant yet, so we can't make any final decisions until we are closer to summer.
Our poor Momzy is having surgery tomorrow. They need to drain some blood that pooled between her brain and skull. It was from a fall she had about a month ago when she was putting up Christmas decorations. The surgery sounds scary, but it's a quick surgery with good results. I wish we could be in New York to watch over her and make sure Momzy comes out of the surgery okay. John and I will just have to watch over her from a distance. Sending her lots and lots of love and warm wishes. We love you, Momzy....get well soon!!!!
2006 is finally here! This year is not only the Year of the Dog, but the Year of Baby Boo. As far as I know there is no Baby Boo yet, but I'm determine to make it happen. I know it is not in my power, but I feel confident between receiving acupuncture and chiropractic care that something will happen. I can only hope!
My resolutions for 2006 are as follows:
1) Becoming a mom or at least pregnant before 2007 rolls in.
2) Getting Monkey Mural business off the ground and making a profit in our assest column.
3) Getting in better shape by doing the treadmill at least twice a week. I want to feel fit and comfortable in the skin I'm in. Bonus: When I do become pregnant, it will be easier to lose the baby weight quicker if I'm staying active throughout the pregnancy.
4) Helping a candiate in the Democratic party for the upcoming elections in November. It is important for us Democrats to take back our country and start fixing the problems that have been hurting America, since Republicans have been running the show.
5) Through the Young Dems group, I want to propose volunteering with Children's Hospital in some capacity. I will look into what we can do, but I think it would be a great thing for us to help out kids in need of support and reassurance.
6) Of course kiss my Boo Boo more since I don't already do it enough! John felt I needed to add this, so this one is for you snugglebunny. :x By the way, where is it on your resolutions for kissing Yogi more. Sad!
This is what I have planned for so far. I might be making some changes or adding things later, but this is what I have set out to do for 2006 that I definitely want accomplished before 2007 comes along. I feel good about these goals, and I think they will be successfully achieved!
