"SANTA!"...Santa decided to make a special appearance to give Cedric and James a present. He also had an extra special gift for their Uncle Kevin.
Uncle Andy played Santa and Uncle Chris/dad to James helped out by providing the costume.


John and Cedric are overwhelmed by the abundance of presents from my family. Most of the presents were for Cedric, which is fine by me. Cedric decided to start opening his presents by himself...he's so clever!


Another family picture...I was trying to take a picture and when I try to get into the picture, I accidently bumped the camera backwards. It ended up I couldn't make it into the shot in time...oh well, everyone looks happy, especially John and my dad.


Cedric's 1st Christmas has come and gone. The cute, little guy has no idea what a whirlwind had just occured, but he doesn't seem to care. It wasn't about the presents to him...it was about being with us and his extended family. This might be the last one we celebrate with all of us...although I'm hopeful that's not the case. Cedric's Uncle Michael is very sick with brain cancer...I can only wish for more years with my brother even though he can be a pain...he's my brother and I love him. Sorry I ended this blog on a sad note, so I'll end it happy instead.

Cedric had a great day playing with Angel and Ariel...chasing them around the house and giggling as they licked his face. Also he had a ball playing with his cousin, James...he kept going back and forth behind the highchair saying "Boo!" to Cedric making him have these huge, belly laughs. It was so cute...it was all caught on video. Merry 1st Christmas buddy! :)

Christmas Eve

John, Cedric, and I went to the Elephant Bar restaurant for our Christmas Eve dinner. John and I enjoyed some garlic bread and burgers...plus delicious non-alcoholic drinks. Cedric had some apples and apricots for his meal. He wasn't too interested in eating...he was a tired, little guy. We went too early for our dinner, so we could have the rest of the evening to play and wait in anticipation for Christmas morning.

Cedric is 9 Months Old Today!

Cedric went to his nine month check-up today. He was 28 1/4 inches (50%) and he weighs 16 lbs. 1 oz. (2 1/2%)...basically it means his height is average, but he is very slender.

Christmas is Coming!!!!

Cedric is already for his 1st Christmas! He is getting into the presents a little bit...mostly sucking on them. He likes to pick the ornaments off the tree, too. Thankfully, I was smart and I put only soft ones along the bottom. We can't wait until the 25th!

Daddy's Coming Home

John went to California for a couple of days for a business trip. It was very hard for Cedric and me to be without him, but he is coming home this evening. We can't wait! In January, John is going back and we are going to go with him. Cedric and I will check out the sites during the day while John is working. It will be a lot of fun!

Cedric and I will spend the day doing our usual stuff. In the afternoon, we are going to the park with Grandma. At 9pm, we will take off to the airport and pick up our missing piece of the puzzle. :)

Boo at the Zoo

Cedric's first time at the Boo at the Zoo (also the first for mommy and daddy). We had fun getting candy and looking at all the animals.

We met up with some friends, and we navigated through the chaos of small children dressed in all kinds of costumes as their parents blissfully wonder unaware of where there children were going.

Cedric was safe with us as he enjoyed all the excitement he was experiencing trying to get some candy. Oh, if he only knew what he was missing. Mommy and Daddy will have to enjoy the goods this time around! :)

Cedric is 7 Months!

I took this picture of Cedric with Harmony and Cimbi a couple of days ago. Look how big he is getting sitting up all by himself. He is babbling like crazy....a couple of days ago I answered the phone and he said hi after I said it....I swear that is what it sounded like. I know he doesn't put words to meaning yet, but his babbling is sounding more and more like actual words. He is so cute! He says "ohhhhh" a lot, especially when he is playing or sees the cats. Time is flying! :)

Cedric's First Time Eating

Cedric had his first real food other than breast milk on Monday, October 1, 2007. He loved it! Look at how cute he is chewing on the tray of his highchair. Granted, it was only baby cereal, but it still is a start in the right direction towards eating something different.

Cedric went to the doctor yesterday for his six month check-up. He was 27 inches (50%) and 15 lbs, 1 oz. (6%)....basically average in height, although it goes between 50-75% since he has gone to the doctor. In weight, he is very low...he just has a high metabolism. He has to go back in 5 weeks for a weight check...they just want to make sure he is okay. I know he is....I was the same way when I was a baby.

Michael

My brother Michael (on the left) was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. The tumors are inoperable....well at least the one deep in his brain is, I'm not sure about the other one. As you can tell, I don't know a lot of details yet, but I hope to after I speak to my mom later on this morning. They talked to the doctor last night, but I haven't heard anymore details. From what I've heard so far the outcome is bleak, but I hope to hear better news today. He's only 37 years old...why is this happening?

Cedric Playing

Cedric has started going to a class twice a week called My Gym. It's a mommy and me type class, and he loves it. Look at how happy he is playing on their toys. This is the car that goes back and forth on a rip line. He kept laughing and laughing with enjoyment.
