The World was Our Burrito

Pam, Chris, John, and I went on a roadtrip to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. Chris arrived from NY on Friday, June 9th, and Pam arrived from NY on Saturday, June 10th. From there we ate breakfast/lunch at an IHOP near our house. We went to dinner at Old Chicago and talked about our trip.

We left for the Grand Canyon on June 11th at 5:30am. We made it to our destination by 6pm. We stayed the night in a Holiday Inn Express and had dinner at some cafe. The best part was finding a Carvel across the street for some ice cream although this Carvel doesn't compare to a real Carvel....they only exist in New York.

We left around 7:30am towards Las Vegas. We arrived around 1pm, and we were able to check-in at the Monte Carlo. We ended up staying two nights instead of one. We realized we were just too tired to drive out of our way to Roswell. Oh well, John and I will just have to go another time to hang out with the aliens.

Funny thing is while we were in the car, we talked about favorite places to eat. We mentioned Carvel, which we found. We then mentioned Nathan's, and Las Vegas provided. We ate there for lunch our first day in town. The only downfall was the money gouging. Almost 8 bucks for one hotdog....John and I got the two hotdog special which was only a dollar more. We didn't feel as bad about being overcharged. We also talked about Ben and Jerry's....also in Vegas, but we were too late to get a Heathbar crunch for Pam. We went to a B&J in Colorado, but they didn't have Pam's favorite Heathbar crunch flavor.*Sigh*
